The Mediterranean is the “sea of the middle earth”, a vast, azure expanse bathed in sunshine and spilling onto the shores of three continents. It’s climate has been a source of natural abundance, of trade and prosperity for thousands of years. From earliest times, its inhabitants were warriors and poets, diverse peoples of culture and exchange.
This blog is dedicated to greatness however expressed and in whatever age.
It is also essentially Mediterranean. It will be a forum for environmental, social, economic and political issues. It will be about human habitation and responsible strategies to sustain and enhance humanity’s evolutionary experiment.
Law, human dignity, sustainability, urban habitat, demography, free trade, environmental services and of course, the words and voices of those who have gone before us, all are fair game for the Living in Provence blog.
